Four active verticals. 25+ patent families. And a model designed to keep generating both. Every client engagement that solves a new materials problem has the potential to add to the IP portfolio: the four verticals below are where the platform is deployed today, not the limit of where it goes.
You have a materials performance challenge that conventional chemistry cannot solve. We are the team you call.
Zentek is a graphene contract research organisation. We do not compete with your manufacturing operation. We solve the problem your current supplier cannot: fire behaviour, ice accumulation, corrosion failure, filtration performance: and deliver a validated formulation that becomes part of your product.
Every engagement is client-funded. You pay for the development work. You get a commercially deployable solution. Our interests are aligned with yours: we only build value by solving problems that are genuinely hard, and solving them properly.
Start a conversation →A fire scenario your current intumescent chemistry cannot handle. An icing condition that passive surface treatments have not solved. A corrosion failure mode costing you millions per year. The problem is real, the cost is material, and the solution does not yet exist off the shelf.
Your team defines the performance targets. Our graphene chemistry team: backed by 10+ patent families and deep university research relationships: develops, tests, and validates candidate solutions against your specification. You fund the programme. We do the science.
You receive a validated formulation, integration support, and a commercial arrangement built around your production scale. No manufacturing risk on our side means no complexity on yours. The solution slots into your existing process: and it works, because it was built specifically for your application.
Successful engagements become the foundation for follow-on programmes. As your product evolves, your performance requirements evolve. We are already inside your chemistry. Each programme builds on the last: a compounding relationship that gets more valuable on both sides over time.
Describe the performance problem you are trying to solve. Our team will review it and come back to you within two business days with a candid assessment of whether graphene chemistry can help.
Four independent categories where graphene chemistry offers a potential step-change in performance. Each has its own market, its own regulatory context, and its own IP family.
ZenGUARD™ is a patented graphene oxide coating technology applicable to HVAC air filters, surgical masks, and other air-contact surfaces. The ZenGUARD™ coated media alters the surface topography of the filter media, increasing surface area and promoting mechanical interactions with the air stream. This improved air disruption mechanism does not increase pressure differential: meaning the increased air disruption does not come at the cost of increased energy consumption.
A US pilot evaluation programme with a major HVAC filter manufacturer is active as of March 2026. A US distribution agreement for ZenGUARD-enhanced surgical masks with Medwell Solutions was announced in April 2024.
Conventional intumescent coatings expand under heat to form a protective char: but they are thick, heavy, and inadequate at extreme temperatures. ZenFire™ has the potential to deliver superior fire protection at dramatically lower coating thickness, enabling retrofit applications that conventional products cannot reach.
Regulatory tightening across the UK, EU, and North America is mandating third-party fire testing and recertification of building stock: driving demand for next-generation passive fire protection.
Ice accretion on aircraft, wind turbines, and transmission infrastructure costs billions annually. Active heating systems consume energy. Chemical treatments carry regulatory and environmental constraints. ZenICE™ addresses both: a surface coating that reduces ice adhesion strength to the point where ice cannot accrete or sheds under its own weight. No energy input. No chemicals.
Patent protection filed via the PCT system, establishing international priority across key markets. No dominant incumbent exists in carbon-based passive icephobic coatings.
Corrosion costs the global economy an estimated $2.5 trillion annually. Marine and offshore environments are the most aggressive: where salt water, humidity, and mechanical stress defeat conventional protective coatings within years. ZenArmor™ uses graphene's impermeability as a barrier enhancement, with the potential to extend coating life and reduce maintenance cycles significantly.
Graphene's two-dimensional structure creates a physical barrier against oxygen and moisture migration: the root cause of most corrosion failure modes. Applied as an additive to existing primer systems, ZenArmor™ is designed for retrofit compatibility.
When Zentek formulations are developed with industrial partners and incorporated into qualified products: particularly in regulated sectors: they often become part of long-term supply relationships. Qualification and certification processes favour continuity once performance requirements are met. Every validated engagement builds a position that compounds.
